This one was a big FAIL for me.
First, it fails to give us the popular option of choosing our own preferred installation destination, instead installing itself in the C: Prog (x86) Folder. Boooooo!
Second, when I tried to launch it from the shortcut it put on my desktop, it didn't launch but attempts to reopen the original zip file which does nothing but display the extracted files again. Why? Maybe because they've buried zip files inside the zip file and something wasn't unzipped during the install? I see that the target for that shortcut is a .JAR file, not the .BAT file mentioned in ReadMe. Why? What the heck is a JAR file?
The very limited ReadMe directions we're advised to "read very carefully" looks like something out of an antiquated MSDOS program.
When I followed the directions and either clicked on "C:\Program Files (x86)\Barricade 3.5.1\barricade.bat" or when I tried typing the command (TYPING RUN COMMANDS IN 2012??) I get an inexplicable error message saying Barricade "couldn't locate Javaw."
ReadMe fails to clearly explain what to do. Yes, it says, "If this does not work, please insure java is in your PATH and try again" which makes absolutely no sense to me as a nonprogrammer. I know next to nothing about batch file syntax and a game offered for Windows shouldn't require it nor should the vendor's programmer ASSUME we know anything about DOS when they write documentation! FWIW, I already have current an up-to-date Java installed on my Windows PC and normally, that is good enough.
Deleted game.
